📜 Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using MindCraft ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account and use MindCraft. The Service is designed for children to use under parental supervision. By creating child profiles, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of the children using the Service.

📖 Description of Service

MindCraft is an educational service that helps children improve their reading skills through interactive exercises within Minecraft. The Service includes:

• A Minecraft mod (Fabric) that displays reading prompts during gameplay
• Speech recognition technology to validate reading attempts
• AI-generated, age-appropriate sentences based on game context
• A parent dashboard to track progress and manage settings
• Progress tracking, analytics, and reading statistics

Note: MindCraft is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang Studios.

👤 Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must provide accurate information when creating child profiles
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• You may not share your API key with others or use it on unauthorized devices
• One subscription covers one household; commercial or classroom use requires a separate license

👨‍👩‍👧 Parental Consent and COPPA

MindCraft complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). By creating a child profile, you:

• Confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child
• Consent to the collection and use of the child's information as described in our Privacy Policy
• Agree that voice recordings of your child reading will be processed for educational purposes
• Understand that you may revoke consent at any time by contacting us or deleting the child profile

💳 Subscription and Payments

Free Tier

Our free tier includes limited features: 1 child profile, 10 reading sessions per day, and template-based sentences. No payment information is required.

Paid Subscriptions

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually at the rate displayed at checkout
• Payment is processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You may cancel at any time through your dashboard; access continues until the end of the billing period
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice; existing subscribers are grandfathered at their current rate for one billing cycle

Refunds

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers. If you're not satisfied, contact us within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund. After 14 days, refunds are provided at our discretion for extenuating circumstances.

✅ Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the Service or mod
• Share, sell, or redistribute your API key or account access
• Use automated systems to access the Service (bots, scrapers)
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Impersonate another person or entity
• Use the Service in a way that could harm children
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or billing

🎓 Educational Content

MindCraft generates reading content using AI technology. While we implement safety filters to ensure age-appropriate content:

• We cannot guarantee that all generated content will be 100% appropriate for all children
• Parents should monitor their children's use of the Service
• If you encounter inappropriate content, please report it immediately to support@readingtutor.app
• MindCraft is a supplemental educational tool and should not replace formal reading instruction

📦 Minecraft Mod

The MindCraft Minecraft mod is provided "as is" and:

• Requires a legitimate copy of Minecraft Java Edition
• Is designed for Minecraft version 1.21.1 with Fabric Loader
• May not be compatible with all other mods or modpacks
• May require updates when Minecraft releases new versions
• Should be downloaded only from our official website

We are not responsible for any issues with your Minecraft installation resulting from mod conflicts or improper installation.

🔧 Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance (we'll provide advance notice when possible)
• Emergency repairs or security updates
• Factors outside our control (internet outages, third-party service disruptions)

We will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from Service unavailability.

📋 Intellectual Property

• The MindCraft Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by MindCraft and protected by intellectual property laws
• You retain ownership of any feedback or suggestions you provide, but grant us a license to use them
• Minecraft, the Minecraft logo, and related marks are trademarks of Mojang Studios
• You may not use our trademarks without written permission

🔄 Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for:

• Breach of these Terms
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Non-payment of fees
• Extended periods of inactivity (with notice)

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may request your data before termination by contacting us.

⚖️ Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Class Action Waiver: You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.

📝 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by:

• Posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last updated" date
• Sending an email to the address associated with your account
• Displaying a notice in your dashboard

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
